ALL ABOUT TREKSTOCK

Trekstock is a charity that supports young people affected by cancer. If you remember, a while back a competition was held by Trekstock where the ultimate prize was a dinner with Liam and Harry from 1D. Seems like a great prize if you ask me...

Here are the winners (who were lucky enough to be flown from California and ended up sitting in a fancy little place in London.

And here's what they had to say about the experience.

"Both of the boys were completely down to earth and so so nice. They really made us feel totally at easy and we felt like we were just hanging out with friends rather than two members of a major band. We're so lucky that we get to spread the word about things we care about. It's great to do that about Trekstock."

Yep, I wouldn't expect anything less from them. After all, they did this for charity, and not just any charity but one that really engages in helping and supporting youth everywhere.

TAYLOR SWIFT HITS THE BIG SCREEN

After her award winning performance in Valentines day, it was only a matter of time until Taylor went down the acting path again..

Watch the trailer below and see if you can spot Swifty...it might take you a few times. First and foremost she's not blonde in this one!

If you missed her, this is the small preview we got. She's doing her famous "side eye" thing. She got less than a second in the trailer and the producers chose her most famous expression...amazing. It kind of looks like she's judging everyone but she's not even trying to be subtle about it.

The film also stars Meryl Streep and Katie Holmes...a definite must see.

BOYBANDS UNITE

Guys, nothing makes me happier than seeing bands who get along.

We'll start off with the whole McFly and Niall thing...mind you, this is not the first time McFly has worked with him. But still, it still gets me excited for the new album.

Niall was also hanging out with baby Buzz earlier this week...shame we didn't get an instagram picture of the two!

The twitter banter between Horan and the boys of Mcfly proved that new music IS on the way, and I'm reaaaaaaally happy about it.

SECONDLY, a few weeks back Louis and Liam mysteriously jetted off to LA. It turns out they were actually there for a reason - to team up with the boys from Good Charlotte.

Benji and Joel have apparently been helping the boys for the 4th album. This work in progress was all over twitter as well. There is enough proof to definitely say that they are working on new material.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL.

Ahhhhhh...just got this of Fall Out Boy's insta...with the caption "london hangs"

Also, is it just me or is that the guy from the 1975? I'm not entirely sure but I did think it was Harry at first glance.

Now there is no actual proof to say that they were hanging out AND writing music but I think it's a damn good possibility. So what does this mean? It means that in the next year we are going to be hearing some very different and very rocky new music. I actually can't contain my excitement as I'm writing this...ahhhhhhhhhhhh...and the waiting game begins..

Harry's new bachelor pad...

I've heard through the grapevine that Styles has just splashed out on a new place....worth 2.6 million pounds to be exact.

Although, 2.6 million doesn't sound like that much when you're worth 20 million alone, and 100 million with your friends standing next to you.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that he is just a little fond of Cali, little did anyone know he was spending time there house hunting, (in between going to all of those concerts and such).

"Harry's only told a few people and not many people know the exact location of the pad, but it is fairly spectacular, with an outdoor pool, home entertainment room and gym."

Outdoor pool? Outrageous. I would be more impressed if it was an indoor pool.

So, does this mean he's going to be going around for a BBQ at Bruce Jenner's place? I assume they live somewhere near each other with a golf course separating them..

And what happened to Harry's place in London which is apparently "unlivable" because of renovations...is he still sleeping on couches when he's in the UK? I'm sure Grimmy is more than happy to accommodate his flat for his lanky friend anyway..

Demi - twitter activist

My thoughts on Demi change more than Demi herself changes her hair color. Sometimes, you can't help but love her...but then there are other times where you just kind of want to pat her on the head and tell her to calm down. This is one of those times.

It's no secret that Demi has been open in the past few years about the struggles of addiction, eating disorders, bullying, and lots of other issues that MAJORLY affect so many people all over the world. So, naturally, I don't know why I was surprised that she tweeted her feelings about Lady Gaga's puking stunt.
The thing is, I don't really know whether to agree with her or take Gaga's side. I'm not a big fan of Gaga but I know by now that the things she does on stage and the stunts she pulls aren't really to be taken seriously. Having said this, I understand the angle in which Demi is looking at this, I'm just not sure if it's the right one. Considering Gaga has battled an eating disorder in the past, it's unlikely she was trying to glorify it in any way, and more likely she was trying to educate her audience (who clearly understand her better) and express herself in...well, the way Lady Gaga does. It is more about an artistic and creative vision than a statement or a performance, and yes, perhaps this could be damaging, but telling someone to "not do" what they love to do, isn't the way forward either. The term "art" and "artistic vision" seem to be how artists all over the world structure and vision their performance, and as the audience, I think people either understand it and take to it, or they just don't. An activist to me is someone who stands up for what they believe in, but all I see is Demi sharing the fact that she's being offended by something that wasn't meant to be offensive in the first place.
Statistically in the entertainment industry, artists have slowly started to open up more and more to develop audience relationships. I feel as though 2014 is the start of some jaw dropping performances...and if you are a little sensitive, maybe its best to just sit this one out.

Ke$ha is no more!

After emerging from being in rehab for 2 months, Kesha has changed her name, and by this, I mean dropping the dollar sign, which was always a pain to include anyway.

Kesha spent time in rehab to help treat her bulimia and anorexia issues. Thankfully, she took to twitter to say that she is feeling healthy and happy, and very grateful for her fans support.

She is also apparently gearing up for a whole new era of music. I don't even want to think of the possibilities...

However, the most exciting part of this is definitely the fact that she dropped the dollar sign. The days of pressing shift + 4 are OVER.

Harry and who?

London Fashion Week is always a fun time. Especially if you're Harry Styles, apparently.

It is no secret that Styles has had a thing for older women for a while now, but I thought his cougar days were over. Evidently I was wrong (Harry was also pictured with Christa Miller and Jennifer Meyer the other week in Culver City, both of which are married.)

The word going around is that Harry spent a "drunken night out" with Alison Mosshart. Shocking. A drunken night out could mean anything.

The nightclub of choice was "The Box", where the two apparently got a little bit touchy in a booth in the corner. The pair have apparently gotten close after meeting through Kate Moss and Jamie Hince.

Despite all this talking about Harry and Alison (I'm not even going to pretend that I know who she is), there's pap shots of him leaving the club with a man, so whatever fling happened inside obviously stayed inside.

He also managed to show up to fashion week the next day and sit next to her front row without it being too awkward, so it probably wasn't anything people should be going on about.

The fact is, Harry Styles has lots of friends - whether it be old women, old men, Jenners, WHOEVER, if he actually had something going on with anyone, you'd be able to tell pretty quickly.

If anything, I'm happy he has friends outside of the band and is able to score an article being written about him whenever he goes clubbing - what a talent.

Will it ever end?

If you take Justin Bieber, one of the most talked about boys in the media alone (with his fair share of crazy stunts in the last month) and combine that with Selena Gomez (another role model and well talked about actress in the industry) you get a power couple. What I didn't know 3 years ago, when the two started dating, is that people would still actually care about their relationship in 2014.

Things started going rocky for the couple in 2012. 2012. THAT'S 2 YEARS AGO. So why am I still seeing them run headlines almost everyday, despite the fact that they've been apart for over a year now? Why is it that people can't use one of their names in a sentence without using the other. For example, after Justin's DUI situation (something I'm not going to go into because I could literally go on for so long about it) everyone asked this - "Do you think Selena made him do this?' "Do you think he's crumbling without Selena?" "Why is he always screwing up because Selena isn't there?"

Similarly, when Gomez was in rehab, people automatically jumped to the conclusion that it was because of her ex. "Selena's in rehab for drug issues? It must have SOMETHING to do with Justin." Now, I'm not denying that it didn't have anything to do with him, but the chances are small. The chances of either of them doing something because of the other person is small. The chance of them even still being in CONTACT is very, very small.

Apparently even the court in Miami asked Justin about his failed relationship and if it had any influence on his drug use or other crimes. Not surprisingly this angered him and caused even more of a problem for both him and his entourage.

But clearly Justin is still thinking about Gomez considering he posted a picture of her on instagram with the caption - "most elegant princess in the world." Its cute that he cares, but also a little bit sad and worrying on a few different levels.

The media has run the river of Jelena dry. There must have been thousands of articles about the two only the last few years. This shows what happens when you combine two well known people with very intense followings. The fact is, there really isn't another celebrity couple that is reported about or talked about as Jelena was or is. Social media has influenced fan followings in an indescribable way, and has shaped how people view celebrity couples, especially young couples.

All I can say is, I hope the two find what they want to do in their own light and aren't constantly being reminded of one another. Although, there is a tiny bit inside of me that hopes that one day they will be back.

Again.

BANGERZ...

If you haven't seen any photos from Miley's new tour, I'll forgive you for living under a rock the past week or so. Despite the fact that the entire population of LA was packed into the Staples Center last night to watch her do her thang, she really didn't hold back.

Milez took to twitter after the show to say "I gooooootttttttta stop puttin random ass panties in my mouth."

...those words really speak to me.

Appropriate attire...
Yes that's Katy Perry! Who knew.....
You do you girl, you do you.

She honestly reminds me of a candy cane here and I love it..

Surprisingly, watching videos of the tour (and seeing pictures, majority of which were too explicit to put on here..) actually makes me want to go see her live. Like, this is a must. No matter how crazy it is, I have a feeling I am going to remember it for the rest of my life, and people will remember Miley for just getting on stage and not giving a f*ck about anything other than her fans, music, and her show.

In an article entitled 'Miley the Movement', that Miley herself tweeted out earlier, it stated the following - "Her message is simple- LOVE. Love your body. Love what you do. Love one another. Most of all love life, and have as much fun as you can while playing it all out."

People are torn between the idea of good music, and the idea of someone acting a little bit crazy on stage...is it a common rule that if you want to have a good show, it has to be 'clean' as such? I think what Miley enforces is that we can have both. Anyone can have both, as long as they believe in who they are and believe in the music they get across.

Keep doing your thaaaaaaang Miley, everyone seems to love the hype of it anyway!

5 Seconds Of Summer - She Looks So Perfect

Its here! Calling all 5SOS fans....(majority of girls, possibly some men) here is the brand new single "She Looks So Perfect," long awaited I know!!

Selena Gomez...rehab?!

If you had asked me a year ago, putting Selena and rehab in the same sentence would've shocked me. But it is 2014, and anything can happen.

It turns out she had a reason for cancelling the Australian tour (most people assumed it was because of ticket sales). Instead of jetting down under, Selena spent two weeks in Arizona at a rehab center (weirdly known for treating celebrities such as Matthew Perry and Whitney Houston). TMZ claims it was because of alcohol issues, however Selena's rep states that it was mainly because of exhaustion - "She's been working nonstop since she was 15 and wants to take a minute to herself." Fair enough I say.

TMZ also claims that Selena left rehab a month before she was meant to, because she decided that she'd already fully recovered. "She was signed up for a 45-day treatment program, but checked out after only two weeks so she could attend the Sundance Film Festival to promote her new movie." From what it seems, she was "burnt out" and generally just needed a break. Although, it is strange that anyone would spend $4000 a night, for simply being over worked.

"Does she party and have the occasional joint? Yes. Does she drink when she goes out? Yes. But she’s not struggling with drug addiction or alcoholism. I’ve never seen her out of control. There’s no needle dangling out of her arm."

I've already seen people trying to put two and two together and add Justin into the mix, but in my opinion, they are both completely separate. Its a great possibility that Selena genuinely was just tired, and even if it was something more serious, the chances of it stemming from anything Justin did is unlikely.
Get better sooooon Sel :)

I completely adore and admire the nominees for categories such as best British Band (the Arctic Monkeys are everything right now), and so on, but just the fact that there is even a category for Worst Band and Villain of the Year ruins it for me. These shows are not meant to put a label on other artists who don't necessarily "fit" into the type of music that the nominees typically dive into. Villain of the Year makes no sense, I'm still struggling to understand the purpose of it after last years winner..

Anyway, if you're up for the whole voting thing...the final round is open now..  http://www.nme.com/awards/vote?recache=5
